Welcome Reception

A welcome reception will be held on the evening of Thursday 4th September on board the RRS Discovery. The Discovery was built in Dundee in 1900 and carried Robert Falcon Scott on his first successful expedition to the Antarctic. She returned to Dundee in 1985 and is rated as a 5-star tourist attraction by Visit Scotland.

Social Dinner

A social dinner will be held on the evening of Saturday 6th September in McManus Galleries. The McManus, as it's known locally, is a 19th-century Gothic Revival-style bulding originally designed as a memorial to Prince Albert, consort to Queen Victoria. Today, it houses eight galleries showcasing Dundee's place in the world from the days of early man, to the late 20th century.
